It started in the year 2013 when my cousins from California visited our place. My cousin came up with the idea to have a hashtag as a way to categorize adventures on Instagram. I thought, "Hey, what a cool idea. Maybe I'll make one."

And #jiraytakesavacay came to be.

I'm understanding that there's more to life than just the one we're living in. I've come to an epiphany that I'm spending my life seeing how other people are living their lives. There's a whole world out there waiting to be explored. This hashtag was a means to set footprints in places I've visited; to leave a mark on all the experiences and memories I've created. It was a hashtag to push me to see the world out there., pushing myself to things unknown. Embarking on new adventures meant chances to grow and learn more about myself and the world around me. 

 

So here are a couple of adventures that I've been on. I hope that this might inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and to go out and explore.
